Summer Recap!

Summer has been so good to me. Filled with loads of nature, time with family and friends, good food and good wine. Also a lot going on with indoVINO!

Colorado!

I went home to Colorado the month of July and spent days hiking in the mountains, enjoying the CO wildflowers and tons of mountain biking. We also bottled the Colorado Cabernet Franc 2023 vintage. Although my family helps me everyday with indoVINO, between business advice, social media help, logistics and more, I was really missing having them involved in the physical winemaking part while I was in Spain. So it was so much fun to have my family help me bottle the wine and get to learn more about the process. We had a great time. I even let my sister have us do a tiktok dance in the winery. I am SO excited to share it with everyone in the US. It’s like a big strawberry bomb with some herbal notes on the finish and an unexpected creamy texture from the barrel aging.

We are working on printing labels now- so expect the wine to be available around the end of September / beginning of October. If you want to be notified when it goes on sale, sign up for our newsletter below!

Podcast!

I recorded an episode of the Baked-In podcast with Josh Allen, the founder of Companion Bakery in St. Louis. It was so much fun to talk with him about the parallels with winemaking and baking, as well as where I am at with my business and the problems I am currently working on! It was very motivating! Check out his podcast for the episode, and to hear others from really interesting St. Louis based entrepreneurs.

New winery!

indoVINO is starting a new chapter in a new winery. I have been searching for a new place to make wine this year, with sights focused on Málaga as its where my boyfriend is from and where we hope to move sometime soon. After meeting and talking with several winemakers in the area I found a beautiful vineyard growing Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot in Antequera, about an hour north of Málaga. The owner has just begun making wine as a hobby for his retirement and is open to sharing the space with me which feels both lucky and exciting.

After making wine in Sierra de Gredos the past two years, it is hard to say goodbye to that region. It is so magical to me in its ruggedness. I will also miss the chaos and beauty of sharing the winery with all the other wonderful people I was with, helping each other during harvest, tasting each others wines. But I am also excited to explore a new region, plant roots, and really dig into this project in a more permanent location.

Time for Harvest!

After spending last week in Barco de Avila, enjoying the mountains, rivers, and delicious food with my boyfriend’s family its now time to get to work, pick some grapes, and make some wine!! So excited!
